Rose Park Facts and Information

Rose Park is a neighborhood steeped in culture and history. The original developer arranged some of the area’s streets in the shape of several roses. Original roof shingles were red or green, and street names all feature rose varieties.

Rose Park is located just west of I-15 and east of Redwood Road, which provides Rose Park residents with a short commute to downtown Salt Lake City as well as access to many recreational amenities. The area is also one of the only neighborhoods near downtown Salt Lake that is still affordable to first-time home buyers.

The area of Rose Park is a walkable neighborhood with shortcuts and sidewalks allowing access to some of the following:

  • Public golf courses
  • Public library
  • Eco-garden
  • Community Garden
  • Public parks (tennis courts, pavilions, playgrounds, soccer and baseball fields)
