The Sugar House neighborhood, whose name is derived from the sugar beet test factory of the Deseret Manufacturing Company, is one of the oldest and most sought-after neighborhoods in Salt Lake City. The area was established in 1853 and passed through various phases and a redevelopment before reaching it’s acclaimed status in the 1990s.
